Next year, the new Alfa Romeo Stelvio will be the first vehicle in the Stellantis Group to be built on the new STLA Large. It can be used for various drive systems and is also designed for 800-volt technology for electric vehicles. The Stelvio also uses the new, far-reaching software architectures, including the Smart Cockpit. The company has also announced the new Alfa Romeo Giulia for 2026.
In this context, Stellantis once again emphasized at a meeting with local journalists that the brand will remain 100 percent "Made in Italy". The Stelvio and Giulia are developed there and also built at the Cassino plant 130 kilometers south of Rome. The Italian government had recently feared a partial exodus of domestic car production. Italy will also be the only country in Europe where Stellantis vehicles on the STLA Large and STLA Medium platforms will be produced in parallel. (aum)
