Ford celebrates the market launch of the Transit Courier

Ford celebrates the market launch of the newly developed Transit Courier in Europe. The compact delivery van offers 25 percent more load space than its predecessor and now has room for two Euro pallets. The maximum permissible payload has been increased to up to 845 kilograms. New connectivity and software solutions as well as enhanced assistance systems increase customer benefits, comfort and safety. The panel van will later be followed by a version with a crew cab.

The Transit Courier also marks the debut of a new version of the 125 hp (92 kW) 1.0-liter three-cylinder petrol engine, which is offered as an alternative to the 100 hp (74 kW) version and is also optionally available with a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. A 1.5-liter diesel, also with 100 POS, rounds off the engine range at market launch. Versions with electric drive will follow later. (aum)
