The date for the 2024 AvD Histo Tour has been set

The date for the AvD Histo Tour 2024 has been set. The summer classic car rally with sporting ambitions will once again take place next year in the second week of August in the border triangle of Germany, Luxembourg and Belgium. Participants can look forward to many newly developed routes through the low mountain regions of the Eifel and Ardennes. Along the way, the teams will head for four legendary race tracks, each of which has a regularity test (GLP) to complete.

It all starts on Wednesday, August 7, at the Nürburgring with check-in and technical scrutineering. The first of around 25 planned GLPs is then scheduled on the Grand Prix circuit. The aim is to repeat the target time set in the first lap as accurately as possible in the following laps.

The second day is initially characterized by a touristic drive through shady forests, winding climbs to hills with distant views and back down into the valley. In the late afternoon, it's back onto the race track at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps. The following day on Friday, Zolder and the Nordschleife of the Nürburgring are on the program. In between, there will be selected tourist routes. The award ceremony will take place in the evening. As a kind of extension option, all teams will receive two weekend tickets for the 51st AvD Oldtimer Grand Prix (August 9 to 11, 2024) as part of their entry for the AvD Histo Tour as well as a parking ticket for the parking garage located directly next to the grandstand.

The AvD Histo Tour counts as an official race of the German Classic Series. This also applies to the overall standings for the 2024 German Classic Cup, for which the rally result will again be relevant.
As known from previous years, the entry fee for the AvD Histo Tour (from 3250 euros per vehicle) includes three nights' accommodation in four-star hotels as well as lunch and dinner including drinks on the rally days. Oldtimers and youngtimers built up to 2002 are eligible to participate in the AvD Histo Tour. Entries can be submitted via the AvD homepage from December 18. The number of participants is limited.
