Time for a facelift

After five years, Audi believes it is time for a facelift of the Q8. The changes are mainly of a visual nature; they are subtle enough not to alienate owners of the previous version, but significant enough to make them want to buy it. For example, the Q8 has a redesigned front end which, according to Audi, now emphasizes the horizontal. The previously rather jagged radiator grille is less segmented and is now dominated by rounded trim elements, while the headlight washer system is more beautifully integrated. The rear apron emphasizes the diffuser look more than before.

The wheels have also been further developed. The wheel sizes start at 20 inches, there are some new designs for 21 and 22 inches, and now there are even 23-inch wheels. The headlights are of course now state-of-the-art. Little has changed in the interior. The dashboard, which still looks technically functional, remains practically unchanged and there is still no four-spoke steering wheel. The infotainment has been revised.

The entry-level version is the Audi Q8 45 TDI with 231 hp (170 kW), the provisional top model is the V8 with 507 hp (373 kW). An RS Q8 will follow. The six-cylinder variants of the Q8 are designed as mild hybrids with starter-generator, there is no more electrification.

Prices start at 86,700 euros. (aum)
